Best forward picks for FPL game week 7
1. Erling Haaland (Manchester City)
Haaland has been unstoppable since his arrival from Dortmund to Manchester City. Since he joined Manchester City, Norwegian has been in great shape. He has 10 goals and an assist in 6 games so far in the Premier League. Haaland has an Expected Goals (xG) of 7.04 and an Expected Assists (xA) of 2.19.
He put up a whopping 67 points in 6 weeks of play, averaging almost 11 points per week of play. Haaland ranks first in match influence and attacking threat, and also first in the overall ICT rankings for PL players. 481 game points in 6 games is a record for an FPL player.
Manchester City face Spurs in this game week, but with the form, Manchester City is especially in the future. This game could turn into a goal party for them. With Haaland leading the way and Kevin De Bruyne providing him with wonderful passes that no one can imagine, we expect City vs Spurs to be a highly competitive game.
As far as FPL managers go, Haaland is a safe pick for everyone as he hasn’t failed to score or assist in 6 games so far. With Haaland, he can surely guarantee points.
2. Ivan Toney (Brentford)
Toney was quiet for a few weeks and some managers fired him and paid the price. Ivan Toney responded to his critics in style. Toney scored a hattrick last week and came back with a bang in FPL.
He has recorded an xG of 3.39, and an xA of 2.21. He is seen as one of the best mid-priced strikers in the game. He is averaging nearly 7.5 points per week of play in the FPL this season, second among all forwards. He ranks 10th overall in the ICT rankings among FPL players, amassing 17 points last week.
Brentford face a relatively easy opponent this weekend. They face Southampton, who are defensively unstable. With 10 goals scored against them, Santos has an expectation of goals conceded (xG) of 8.7. The Bees have also performed well in the final third, where they have scored 15 goals with an xG of 12.23. With a 47% share of goals, Toney is his talisman and one of the best strikers in the league.
So, with Brentford playing Southampton, we expect Toney to be the man for that roster of strikers to have on their FPL team.
3. Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham)
The third player on our Forward list is Fulham player Mitrovic. Although Fulham are off to a rocky start on their return to the top league. Mitrovic is enjoying his stay in the Premier League. He has been scoring goals at crucial times for them and also earning crucial points in the FPL.
Mitrovic averages 6.5 points per week of play with important points against the best rivals. He ranks fifth overall in ICT rankings among FPL players and is in the top 10 in every category. Mitrovic has scored 6 goals so far in PL which also against crucial opponents.
Fulham take on Chelsea this weekend. On paper, they look like a tough opposition, but with plenty of off-the-field drama underway at Chelsea, this could be their best chance. Chelsea from now on after the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel has not had a coach and at the managerial level it is a bit complicated. Also, considering that Chelsea’s away record lost the last 3 games and this game is being played on Fulham’s pitch, you have to imagine your chances.
If Fulham have caused an upset at Chelsea, who are already down both on and off the pitch, then their star Mitrovic has to step up and lead the line. For the FPL managers, this could be their best bet to get Mitrovic on their team and score some brown points over the others as he is expected to score this weekend.
