2m buys, Sky Sports freeze out, PPV price to soar

Fury vs Joshua will have a never-before-seen Pay Per View price in the UK following predictions of two million sales for the clash.

Tyson Fury has offered his UK rival a chance to challenge for his WBC heavyweight crown. The couple have been in talks on both sides of the Queen’s passing, lying in state and her funeral.

If accepted, Joshua will try to take back the one belt he failed to win in the heavyweight division.

How much is Fury vs Josuha PPV?

UK fans expect to pay between £29.95 and £34.95 or less to watch the biggest top flight battle in two decades.

Promoter Frank Warren is currently pondering what the eligible price could be with Sky Sports Box Office being frozen.

“It depends what the price of the fight is. Who knows what price it would be today? I think it could get to two million purchases,” Warren predicted.

What television channel will Fury-Joshua televise?

World Boxing News understands that Sky Sports will want to bid to participate in an auction type situation that opens up.

The same thing happened with Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2, as investors from Saudi Arabia tried to make as much money as possible.

However, DAZN PPV and BT Sports Box Office have already confirmed their interest in staging a double feature.

So it’s hard to see how Sky can break through despite airing Joshua’s biggest nights.

Currently DAZN PPV and BT appear to be blocked.

When will Fury vs Joshua be announced?

British fans are anxious about the lack of public information about the ongoing negotiations. There are currently less than eleven weeks left until the proposed fight night on December 3.

Queensberry and Matchroom will have to speed up their promotional actions as both champion and challenger have already started training early.

Something should be concrete by the end of this week if everyone wants to have enough time to prepare for the crash.

Where will the fight take place?

The only viable venue for December 3 is the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn confirmed that the date is already held by Warren and is stipulated in Fury’s offer for a two-fight deal.

Who will train Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua?

AJ has yet to confirm if Robert Garcia is involved after some nasty comments in the media. At the same time, “The Gypsy King” is set to work with Isaac Lowe after parting ways with Sugarhill Steward in a surprising move.

Joshua’s most recent opponent, Usyk, offered to help the Briton after their split decision rematch in August.

Usyk revealed, “I wanted to talk to him. I told him, ‘Relax, man, let’s chill out,’ as Joshua engaged in a post-fight tirade.

“I could come to see you in the UK when I have time. Then I could go to your gym. We could train together and stuff.’”

Usyk vs. Wilder

Whether the Ukrainian maestro will have time after setting his sights on a fight with Deontay Wilder after some family time remains to be seen.

Wilder could be offered a shot at the WBA, IBF and WBO titles held by Usyk in a surprising move.

“The Bronze Bomber” has a fight scheduled against Andy Ruiz Jr. in the first quarter of 2023. So Al Haymon may still want to veto the move.

Despite being involved in a WBC knockout tournament, the ultimate goal for both Wilder and Ruiz would be to fight for the undisputed championship.

Allowing Fury to complete the Joshua saga while becoming the WBC mandatory makes more sense for Premier Boxing Champions at this point.

Therefore, Wilder or Ruiz could be ratified to challenge for the WBC belt. The winner could get a shot at all the titles simultaneously late next year.

Although everything is up in the air. Usyk’s team stated that he is ready to fight Fury this year. That was the only previous sticking point for Fury to turn to Joshua, in the eyes of many.

If that hurdle is removed, Fury could go uncontested and leave Joshua off the menu for the Usyk fight.

Promoters from both sides will reveal more about Fury vs Joshua in the coming days.
